Building a Simple Recipe for FAQ Feature

In this video, we will guide you through the process of building a simple recipe for the FAQ feature of your bot.

Step 1: Create a New Recipe

  1. Open your Bot Recipes window.
  2. Create a new recipe and give it a name.
  3. Select any template for your recipe.

Step 2: Reorganize the Recipe

If your recipe is not organized properly, you can reposition the blocks by using the Reposition button available.

Step 3: Add the FAQ Block

  1. Add the FAQ block to your recipe.
  2. Rename the block as required.
  3. Join the blocks to complete the flow.

Step 4: Configure the FAQ Settings

Go to the settings of the FAQ block to configure its options.

  • Select the FAQ category you created earlier and link it to the recipe.
  • You can also add other categories if needed.
  • In the Advanced FAQ section, choose whether to show suggestions for the bot.
  • You can select your own set of suggestions.
  • Remember that these changes may take some time to reflect.
  • If the bot does not understand a question, an error message will pop up.

Step 5: Complete the Bot Flow

Save your changes and complete the bot flow.

If an error pops up stating that a block has not been selected for the FAQ, complete the bot flow first and then check the settings again.

Make sure to select the next block or the answer block to where the flow should go in case a specific question is asked.

If there is no separate answer block, create one quickly.

Select the "Move to Block" option for this FAQ.

An automatic FAQ attachment block will appear on the recipe once the changes are saved. No further changes are needed for this block.

Save the recipe once everything is set.

Step 6: Set the FAQ Confidence Score

Go to the recipe settings and set the FAQ confidence score.

This score determines the percentage match required for the bot to answer a question.

The recommended score for primary is 70 and secondary is 55 to 60.

Default FAQ is a recipe level setting where you can select the desired FAQ categories and set the default FAQ for each block.

Each block will automatically refer to the categories selected at the recipe level, but you can choose different categories for different blocks if needed.

Step 7: Test the Recipe

You can now test the recipe and provide feedback for every answer.
